The Office: Things Every Careerist Needs in her Desk

During a busy work day, anything could happen! You could break a nail, pop a  button on your blouse, or worse, get a visit from Aunt Flo.  That's why it's so important to keep certain toiletries and other private items stored in your office. 

Here is a picture of a few things I keep in my desk drawer:

 

A few items I don't think a Stylish Careerist should be without includes: touch-up makeup, hand sanitizer, wipes, tampons, deodorant, perfume, medicine (aspirin, tums, etc.), cough drops, hair spray and/or gel, brush, lip balm, clothing stain removers, a sewing kit, mints, floss, body lotion, hair ties and/or clips, nail files, cuticle scissors, and finally safety pins. 

I use travel sizes whenever possible, bought from my local drugstore; this makes it much more convenient to keep them in my office - otherwise I'd be running a small pharmacy!

To keep it organized, I like to keep my stuff in a fun cosmetics bag; I use the one pictured above.  Any other suggestions for things I should store in my office?
