Inspiration: Miniskirt

If we always followed the rules, we'd have never tried dresses over pants, or white jeans after Labor Day, or a miniskirt at the office. You heard right — you can wear the mini hemline to the office (within reason); just let this bit of street style be your guide:
From top left: T by Alexander Wang Marled Mockneck Sweater ($260), Topshop Ponte Boyfriend Blazer ($80), Alexander Wang Prisma Tote ($725), J.Crew Cosabella Super-Opaque Tights ($25), Zara High-Heel Strap Ankle Boot ($90), Alexander Wang Zip-Detailed Wool-Blend Mini Skirt ($174, originally $435)
The sophisticated styler you see here worked the skirt just right, toeing the line between fashion-friendly and office-appropriate by adding in a few sophisticated counterparts, like a well-cut blazer and a chunky turtleneck to temper any sexiness. But it doesn't stop there; if you're trying out a miniskirt at the office, you'll also want to ensure that you're covered up on bottom, too. Opt for classic black tights to finish it off (read: anything decorative or lacy will up the sultry factor, so steer clear of those). As for your footwear, keep it simple with a pair of Fall ankle boots — and be advised, anything with a sky-high heel, metallic finish, or peep-toe is better left for your off-duty style.

Keep it simple and sophisticated, like so, and just like that it's take-your-miniskirt-to-work day. Just shop the look to channel the same flawless style.
