Trendspotting: Metallics

Burberry, led by Christopher Bailey, has been taken in a new direction.  No longer simply the specialists of tartan prints and khaki trenches, it is now the place to go for bright, futuristic metallics.  And I couldn't love it more.

Seen on models and celebrities alike it is fun and inspiring, if not exactly appropriate for the office:
From left: Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne (again, after all she is the face of Burberry) all in Burberry Prorsum Spring 2013 collection.
So, if you can't actually wear a look from above (like me), take a cue and use it as inspiration and buy something that works for your lifestyle.

Here are some similar styles so that you can make this look your own:
From left: Anne Klein Foiled Blouse, was $99.00, now $69.30; W118 by Walter Baker Courtney metallic brocade peplum dress, was $178.00, now $80.10; Banana Republic metallic mini, was $89.50, now $59.99.
